A Drift of Purple Flowers

Every spring the Jacaranda tress that dot many streets in Sydney turn purple with flowers. They blossom on the bare branches until the frond like leaves come out, then they fall. The last few days in Sydney have been wet and have made the flowers fall off  in drifts.

I took these photos on the way to work, to capture the purple blossom before it is gone for another year.

  1. This tree reminds me of the ones we usually get in april/may. - some kind of Japanese Cherry Blossom. Have a nice spring :-)
