Beauty in the details

There is a beautiful Hindu temple south of Sydney.  Take the road south that goes past the Helensburgh turn off and there's a tantalizing glimpse of white roof top carvings through the trees. A sign points the way to the road to the temple. It is well worth a visit and is a beautiful place full of serenity and gorgeous detail.

No footwear past this point ..

  2. The temple is really beautiful, and I love the way it contrasts with the blue sky.

  3. Those white carvings are wonderful, Val. We pass a couple of Hindu temples when we visit Dad, but they are nowhere near as lovely as this one. I like that pretty in pink pair in the first pic too.

  4. You are quite right - the beauty very often ARE in the details. This looks like a real mini-India!

  5. It is a beautiful temple. It is hard to believe it is in Helensburgh. It was all country and bush when I lived in Loftus 50 years ago.

    1. Thank you Malyss. The banner is from my favourite little bit of the Australian coast. There are more glamorous places, but this is where I want to retire eventually.
