Portrait in B & W

Hello bloggers,

I took my favourite photo from my previous post and tried it in monochrome. I like it, but not as much as the colour version. What do you think? This lady was busking on the street, playing a small guitar and was happy to be photographed for a few coins. I like the character in her face.

  1. I think that I too prefer the coloured one - she has such lovely colouring in her skin. Is she an Indigenous Australian?

  2. No, she is an Asian old lady busker that had a trolley of belongings next to her and she was playing a stringed instrument that looked like a small guitar. She appears in a few of my photography group's outings photos from that afternoon.

  3. Definitely the colour! She comes to life (she does have a great colouring) and looks more three dimensional somehow.
