Upside down world

Whats this? Some strange joy ride?

No, just tourists having a quiet coffee in the Queen Victoria building Sydney. It is one of my favourite inner city shopping arcades. In amongst the original Victorian features of the building are mirrored escalators. They have mirrors on the sides and underneath, as do the overhangs. It certainly adds interest when you look up..

Shards of light show between the escalators when you look to the glass domed ceiling.

I'll be linking to Weekend Reflections and then next week branching out to other subjects for a while.

Have a good weekend,

Val.

  2. Super reflections Val. I have to agree, the Queen Vic building is a favourite, we always have coffee there when we come over. Yes the sculpture on the blog yesterday is permanent. If you click the link I added you'll see exactly where it is, hasn't been there long but so perfect for the memorial park.

  5. Hello Valerie. I really like the angles and geometry in these. The first almost gave me vertigo!

You asked if the effect on my last posted photo was deliberate. Yes! I added the texture in photoshop.
